Threshold Cases
Standardizing the evaluation of borderline manufacturing results and formalizing the secondary review workflow.
Critical Case Analysis
In manufacturing, not every part falls clearly into a 'Pass' or 'Fail' category. Threshold cases represent the gray area where objective criteria meet subjective functional requirements. These cases necessitate a secondary review protocol to ensure quality without unnecessary waste.
Surface Texture Variation
Occurs when layer lines show slight inconsistency due to cooling variations. While functionally sound, the aesthetic impact requires a review against the client's visual specification document.
Tolerance Deviation (±0.05mm)
When a component exceeds the standard tolerance by a negligible margin. Requires mechanical testing to determine if the fit remains within the assembly's functional envelope.
Infill Continuity Gap
Minor gaps in the internal lattice structure identified during post-processing. A stress-load simulation is mandatory to verify structural integrity before acceptance.
